"God's Loving Light Shines Through Us and Our Actions"
A registered nurse hired by the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey provides the daily health services for the school. Aside from responding to the daily health needs of our students, the following services are provided: vision and hearing screenings--grades Kindergarten through eight, scoliosis screening--grades five and seven, height and weight measurements and blood pressures for Kindergarten through eighth grade, maintaining and updating of medical records including state-required vaccinations, obtaining and monitoring FM monitors for hearing impaired students, age-appropriate special health education classes, and administration of daily medication for asthma, diabetes, etc. per doctors' instructions. The nurse also tracks all absences and medical excuses and limitations.
When the nurse is not in the building, the school secretaries take on the responsibilities. An emergency response team is available if further assistance is needed. Dental presentations are given by local dentists and hygienists to Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Defibrillators are located on the bottom and main floors of the main building. Faculty and staff are CPR certified and instructed on the use of AEDs and Epi-pens.
