I would like to welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year.
The students use Chromebooks which are signed out of homeroom at the beginning of the day and returned to the cart at the end of the day. They need to take of the Chromebooks since it will follow them form year to year.

The students use Discovery Education Science Techbook . The program is completely on line at google.discoveryeducation.com. The students use their Google signons and passwords to access Discovery Education also referred to as DE in Google Classroom.

The 5th grade science curriculum is on Discovery Education and is divided into three section-Physical, LIfe, and Earth/Space Science. In Physical Science we cover Matter, Building Blocks of Matter, and Changes in Matter. In Life Science we cover Humans and Other Living Things. In Earth/Space science we cover Patterns in the Sky, The Changing Earth, and Protecting the Earth.

The 6th grade curriculum builds on the 5th grade by again being divided into three sections-Physical, Life, and Earth/Space Science. In Physical Science we cover Matter, Energy, Forces, Electricity, and Magnetism. In Life Science we cover Cells and the Ecosystem. In Earth/Space Science we cover Earth  History, Earth Structure, Weathering and Erosion, and the Sun-Earth-Moon System.

All the materials and  assignments are accessible online at Discovery Education with links on Google Classroom.

Google Classroom is the place where you will find all the homework, classwork, and daily information listed by subject. I use DE when refering to Discovery Education. Please check Google Classroom daily since besides assignments whether classwork, homework, or notifications may be found here.  Here are the codes to get into Google Classroom:

PLEASE HAVE STUDENTS BRING IN EXTRA MASKS-AT LEAST TWO. ALSO, THEY TO BRING IN EXTRA WATER ESPECIALLY IF GOING TO AFTERCARE.


If you or you child have any questions just email or send a note, please. The students should go through Google Classroom to send any questions about their assignments. Please do not use my email to send questions about assignments.

Religion will also be taught to 5B.
