Grades one through eight have Spanish weekly.
I will also meet with Kindergarten weekly, just to give them
a little taste of Spanish.

Homework assignments are posted on Google Classroom for all grades.
Spanish Grades- Each student's grade for the skills and concepts component is assessed through graded work such as; class work, tests, quizzes, oral assessment, and projects (grades 7+8). Grades will be posted on Power School throughout the marking period. Grades one through three do not typically have tests.
- Each student's performance and engagement are monitored based on his/ her activities in class, as well as whether he/ she makes positive contributions to class discussions, respects others while speaking, comes to class prepared, begins work upon arrival, and completes all class work and homework.
- Parents are asked to regularly check Power School to be sure there are no missed assignments.

Students in Kindergarten begin learning Spanish with songs, stories, books, videos, and pictures. Students build upon the basic vocabulary year after year until they reach eighth grade. By that time, SJV students amaze me with the growth of their knowledge, and their interest in the Spanish language.
