SJV Students have the opportunity to be actively involved before, during, and after school.  Students of all ages and grades participate in various activities, clubs, academic fairs and contests, community service programs, faith-filled projects, intramural and organized athletic programs and so much more....

After School Activities and Clubs allow the students here to be together, have fun, create new relationships, and learn and develop in so many ways.

Recognition: Students for Grades 5 through 8 are acknowledged for attaining academic excellence each marking period . There are 3 levels of achievement.

Middle School Students act as role models for the younger students; they take pride in their roles as mentors, tutors, and young advisors continuously. Having great friends and lasting relationships starts in Pre-K and are maintained until 8th grade. 

Student Council gives students opportunities to build their leadership skills by getting them involved in developing and promoting student service projects.  Student Council consists of officers elected from 7th and 8th graders, and members who are representatives elected from among the 5th through 8th graders.  Every year, Student Council gets involved in projects that may have local, national or international appeal and sponsors, at minimum, school-wide Advent and Lenten projects.  In addition, there are dances, raffles, contests, and many fun activities that take place throughout the year.  Students also supervise annual food drives and clothing drives for the less fortunate.

Athletics:

Organized Sports are available at SJVS.  Our coaches are dedicated Virtus trained volunteers, who work hard to encourage these young student athletes.   We believe that creating a great team starts with a commitment, a positive attitude and guidance, which will foster teamwork, competitiveness and sportsman like conduct!  There are annual tournaments that the students participate in and season ending playoffs too. 

These are the following sports available.    Basketball Grades 3-8 Cheerleading Grades K-8 Soccer Grades 1-8 Track Grades K-8   Intramural Sports are also a part of student life. Touch Football is schedule for 7th & 8th grades on Thursday afternoons until November.  Basketball will follow and then indoor Volleyball will begin in January.
